Quand stratégie thérapeutique rime avec mécanique

Et si le système immunitaire était aussi une histoire de mécanique ? La progression tumorale est rythmée par de nombreux paramètres biomécaniques qui favorisent ou freinent la formation de métastases, ces tumeurs secondaires résultant de la dissémination de cellules tumorales par la circulation sanguine. Les équipes de Jacky Goetz du laboratoire Immuno-rhumathologie moléculaire (IRM - Inserm/Unistra) et Li Tang (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) ont associé leurs expertises pour proposer un tour d’horizon des avancées récentes en la matière dans la revue Nature Nanotechnology.
